How credits work

Credits are the unit we bill in, not a per-image subscription counter. One processed image costs 1 credit.

The three buckets

Your balance is the sum of three separate pools:

  • Daily free — anonymous users get 1/day, signed-in free users get 2/day. Resets at midnight UTC, doesn’t roll over.
  • Subscription credits — granted monthly by your plan. Reset each billing period, never carried forward.
  • Purchased credits — bought via a credit pack. Never expire.

What gets spent first

Consumption order: daily free → subscription → purchased.

But there’s one rule that trips people up:

Once you have any paid credits (subscription or purchased), the daily free quota is no longer used.

So a free user sitting on 10 permanent credits will burn those 10 first. The daily 2 free only kicks in again once both paid pools hit zero. This matches what the dashboard shows — once paid credits exist, the daily counter disappears from view.

Failed jobs

If a job fails, the credits spent on it are refunded automatically to the same buckets they came from. You won’t be charged for a broken result.
